COBRA announced its latest limited-edition collaboration with DJ Kygo and Palm Tree Crew on Monday. The brands launched a limited run of DS-ADAPT Palm Tree Crew drivers that was inspired by the friendship between Rickie Fowler and Kygo.
Palm Tree Crew was founded by Kygo, Myles Shear and Austin Criden in 2020 and has partnered with COBRA on other launches.
The latest will feature three editions of the DS-Adapt drivers with the LS, X and MAX-K Models. The actual drivers themselves will feature all of the same technology as the in-line DS-Adapt drivers, but will garner unique graphics.
The sole of the driver has Palm Tree Crew written in white font, as well as the phrase chase dreams. The words are on the outside of a palm tree graphic in red, orange and yellow. The crown will also show the words Palm Tree Crew and has a palm tree as the alignment aid.
COBRA refers to the colorway as Neon Nights across the navy crown for those golfers looking to chase late rounds, good times and great summer nights.
Outside of the design, the functionality of the drivers remains the same. The DS-ADAPT LS model is designed for faster swing speeds who are looking for lower spin rates and enhanced shot-shaping with the driver. The LS model will also have a raised rear aft for aerodynamic support, the highest crown peak of the three models and a compact profile.
The X is designed to fit a wide range of handicaps and skill levels and is widely regarded as the core offering within this line. It features more of a traditional profile and balanced front to back weighting that delivers a combination of speed and forgiveness.
The MAX-K is a 10k MOI driver for extreme forgiveness and consistency. It has a slightly oversized profile and will bring the highest MOI of all the DS-ADAPT models.
