The line is designed for better players looking for soft feel and crisp sound from the single piece forging of 1020 carbon steel. Both models also feature a tri-level sole design with beveled leading and trailing edges to promote smooth turf interaction and precise ball control.
Starting with the Forged X, this club is precision-engineered for professionals and elite ball strikers.
With a streamlined cavity back and a compact profile, the Forged X has minimal offset and a thin topline to give the look that most better players prefer. Callaway describes it as a Tour-preferred shape and comes standard with a loft package that includes a 23-degree four-iron, 33-degree seven-iron and 46-degree pitching wedge.
The Forged X Max is similarly crafted from the single piece of 1020 carbon steel, but comes in a mid-compact profile. The Forged X Max blends workability, feedback and just the right amount of forgiveness.
With a more player-friendly cavity back and offset, the Forged X Max is still built for better players, but those golfers looking for a little more forgiveness than the Forged X. This model comes standard with a loft package that includes a 21-degree four-iron, 31-degree seven-iron and 44-degree pitching wedge, giving you stronger lofts than the Forged X for more distance.
Both models are highly anticipated and what Callaway describes as single piece forging in its purest form. Both models are available for pre-order today for a July 25 launch.
