Cleveland CBZ Wedges

August 26, 2025

Cleveland Golf is bringing forgiveness and feel in its all-new CBZ wedge that is constructed with the proprietary Z-Alloy material.

Cleveland CBZ Wedge

Cleveland Golf put engineer Boeing Smith up to the task to create a new material that would check off all the boxes for the company’s wedges and he did just that with Z-Alloy, which is a softer, lighter and durable material. Cleveland had previously used the material in its RTZ wedges and is now constructing the CBZ wedges with the material, as well.

CBZ wedges bring elite forgiveness and premium versatility in two distinct shapes. The standard head shape has traditional grooves with dynamic sole grinds. It’s a refined shape that looks more like a players’ wedge in terms of shape, but in a cavity back.

The high-toe shape features full-face grooves with dynamic sole grinds giving the golfer versatility from any greenside position. The full-face wedge is designed to help golfers get creative with open-face shots.

Both options will have ZipCore technology, which is a low-density core that replaces heavier material in the heel and hosel area with a lightweight material. That allows Cleveland Golf to shift the center of gravity to help improve MOI.

Both wedges will also be equipped with UltiZip, the sharper grooves that help cut through grass and debris, while deeper grooves help clear the impact zone for more consistent spin. Hydraip will also help maintain spin in wet conditions and enhance the performance throughout.

No matter the wedge you choose, the CBZ will offer forgiveness with premium feel and consistency. It’s an incredible option in the Cleveland family along with RTZ to create a well-rounded offering.
