When it comes to adjustability and customization, Mizuno has taken it to another level with the all new M.Craft X putter line.
The putters feature blade-like center of gravity depth with mallet-like stability with their unique design and options. They have the same face, but are offered with a plumber, double bend and slant style neck and give the golfer the option to change out the backs with screw on weights to create a specific putter for that golfer.
There are three aluminum back options with different shapes and center of gravity, as well as three different weight options to optimize the putter for your swing. The backs are held on only by the weights and are removable.
Giving you the best of both worlds, Mizuno achieves blade center of gravity with a shallow CG to help with control and finesse. The mallet stability, however, comes into play with the larger head design and customizable weights that bring forgiveness on off-center strikes.
A golfer looking for an M.Craft X putter will first choose the type of neck they desire. Once they choose between the three neck styles, which are forged from a piece of 1025 steel. Then, the golfer can choose from the Four, Five and Six back models with different shapes and three different weight sizes – seven-gram, 14-gram and 21-gram.
A special tool is used to attach the backing to the face with the weights and they are screwed together to create the desired putter shape. The backs are removable and replaceable, as are the weights.
It creates a unique opportunity within putters to get a new putter without having to buy a new putter, or adjusting the putter you have to optimize your swing and what path you create.
