TaylorMade is bringing a classic look into the future with its all new R7 Quad Mini Driver. The black, yellow and red design meld nostalgia with the technologies of today and advancements from TaylorMade that make this a great option for someone looking to add a mini driver to the bag.
The R7 Quad comes in 11.5 and 13.5-degree lofts in a 305cc head that features a new satin infinity carbon crown. Not only does the carbon crown look good, but it also helped save weight for better mass optimization.
The mini driver will come with four adjustable weights, as well, with two 13-gram and two four-gram weights that can be positioned in the front or rear of the club. With the 13-gram weights near the front, you will get a penetrating ball flight for maximized distance.
Whereas the four-gram weights in the front can help with control and launch when using the R7 Quad from the fairway.
The new mini driver will also have TaylorMade’s signature Twist Face, as well as the Speed Pocket on the sole to help with performance off the tee or in the fairway, as well. TaylorMade developed a Fujikura Speeder MD shaft for this club to lower spin rates and provide stable feel without adding any weight.
The standard length will come in 43.75 inches, a little shorter than a standard driver length, to help with control and accuracy.
The design and look will bring back memories of the past, the technology, functionality and adjustability will prove to be very much a part of the future and fit the needs of a player looking for a club in between their driver and three-wood.
