An exciting new feature of the Milled Grind 5 is the all-new groove design. These aggressive, saw-milled grooves allow for tighter tolerances, allowing TaylorMade's team to reengineer the grooves' steepness and sharpness to provide maximum spin in all playing conditions - damp or dry.
A familiar technology from TaylorMade was carried over to the MG5 lineup - TaylorMade's Tour-Proven RAW face and Spin Tread technology which help players channel moisture and debris away in order to retain maximum spin. By removing unwanted substances away, the MG5's laser-etched Spin Treads create more friction. In short - more spin when you need it the most.
Wedges have long been hand polished across the golfing industry, which leaves room for human error - but not with TaylorMade. The level of detail and tight tolerances can be visibly seen in each and every MG5 wedge. Each sole and grind is machine precision-milled to ensure all wedges are performing as intended.
Milled Grind 5 wedges are available in 6 unique grinds, delivering players consistent performance in different playing conditions. From the versatility of the SB grind, which is ideal for ANY playing condition as well as all swing types, to LB grind, which features a low leading edge in a variety of face positions, intended for shallower swings and firm playing conditions.
