Cleveland RTZ 2 Wedges

Roger Cleveland has once again put his stamp of approval on Cleveland wedges with the all-new RTZ 2 line.

Cleveland RTZ 2

Working alongside the engineer team and Tour players, Roger Cleveland guided the redesign, revisited every sole grind, cleaned up the turf interaction and brought back the iconic 588 grind with the RTZ 2 wedges.

Cleveland believes these are the best wedges the company has ever made with the use of Z-Alloy and the updates and changes brought on by Roger Cleveland.

The latest iteration of the wedges will come in a mid, full and low grind, as well as the 588 and ADAPT grinds. The mid grind is for all-around wedge play with a v-shaped sole, a moderate trailing edge and 10 degrees of bounce. It’s typically suited for moderate divot sizes and moderate course conditions.

The full grind comes with 12 degrees of bounce for softer course conditions, golfers with deeper divots and is built in a forgiving profile. With more bounce, it’s best for someone with a steeper swing and gives total confidence from bunkers and thick rough.

The low grind is built for firmer course conditions, shallow divots and is a versatile club for skilled players looking for enhanced greenside shotmaking. The low grind comes with six degrees of bounce and is best for someone with a shallow angle of attack.

The 588 grind is an exact replica of the previous 588 grinds from Roger Cleveland and has eight degrees of bounce. It’s best suited for moderate course conditions and more on the shallow side of divot size. The 588 grind has increased bounce in the toe and reduced bounce in the heel for versatility and forgiveness.

With ADAPT, golfers will see eight degrees of bounce and full-face grooves with an added leading edge bounce chamfer. This is for more skilled golfers that want a versatile club to take open-face shots.

ADAPT also comes with a bigger face and longer grooves to bring more consistent spin, flight and stopping power on open-face shots.

The RTZ 2 wedges are now equipped with Zipcore IQ, which is an updated version of the previous Zipcore. Each wedge has a uniquely optimized hosel core that is shaped and weighted for the shots that specific wedge is built for. Cleveland relocated mass differently across lofts and grinds to create the ideal head weight for each option.

The latest iteration of the wedges also features Hydrazip face blasts and laser-milled lines that maximize spin and performance in wet conditions, as well as Ultizip, which are sharper grooves that cut through grass and debris at contact.

Cleveland has fine-tuned the RTZ 2 wedges to make them the most complete wedge offering in company history to make an option for every golfer. In addition, Cleveland wants to ensure that the RTZ 2 wedges are unique to you and your preferences, so they are offering more customization options than ever before.

There are expanded paintfill areas, new custom ferrules and newly introduced engraving details giving you more options to build a club that fits your game and your personality.
