Golf Shoes for the season's first major

With the first major of the year fast approaching, you have an opportunity to shop the newest golf shoes geared around the season opener. Some are on a limited-edition basis, some are all new designs and some pay homage to that major in April.

Either way, we want to make sure you are geared up and up to date on all the latest drops for golf shoes in April. So, here is a look at some of the best options to get you prepped for the season opener.

Perennial

Perennial golf shoes

Carl’s Golfland employees designed these limited-edition shoes along with G/FORE and made them available in two different styles. You can get the more traditional Gallivan2r with green accents and a Magnolia embossed on the side.

Or, you can get the more athletic MG4+ O2 that has a white outline of a Magnolia on a green heel cup, matching green accents near the midsole and a vibrant pink outsole and Softspikes.

Both come in a very limited quantity, but epitomize the season opener and the golf season blooming this spring.

Sun Day Red

Sun Day Red Osprey

The Osprey has been a very popular model for Sun Day Red, giving golfers a spikeless option to go seamlessly from office to course. It’s a comfortable and stylish shoe that can be a daily footwear option.

The brand has now added the Osprey to its Spring Traditions Collection and added some incredible details that go along with the first major.

The limited-edition option has a dark, rich green around the liner and tongue, as well as a matching green hint near the midsole. The shoe features Forsythia flowers on the liner on the interior of the shoe, as well as Forsythia on bottom of the sole that shows a pop of yellow as you walk.

It’s a minimalist design that still speaks to the essence of what the first major is and that spring is here.

Under Armour

Under Armour Clone Golf Shoe

The Drive Pro Clone spiked shoe has been wildly successful for Under Armour in that it’s a great blend of comfort and function.

Under Armour has now offered the popular shoe in a limited-edition capacity with subtle hints to the season opener that make it a great option year-round. The majority of the upper is white with hints of navy blue that make it a great option no matter the time of year.

Under Armour strategically placed beautiful accents of light pink on the heel cup with the silhouette of flowers, as well as light pink near the laces and throughout the sole.

It’s an incredible blend of classy and vibrant that goes together perfectly in a functional spiked shoe.

Skechers

Skechers Golf

With two limited-edition models available, Skechers is giving golfers a few different options no matter what type of shoe you’re looking for.

In the Blade Tour Nature of the Game golf shoe, you can get a more athletic look with Skechers’ slip-in technology. The Blade Tour features a dark green accent around the entire shoe and sole with a pop of gold near the front of the shoe. Skechers also included a subtle flower detail on the sock liner and insole to give it that extra touch.

Skechers also has the GO GOLF Prestige Nature of the Game golf shoe available in a more traditional style. The upper is all white with a hint of yellow to add some extra color. The midsole and sole is a beautiful green that makes it an option all year round.

The GO GOLF Prestige brings a waterproof leather upper with Oxford saddle detail and traditional laces, as well.

New Balance

New Balance Champions

If you’re a New Balance fan, you have a few options when it comes to the season opener and green and yellow styling.

First, the New Balance Champions Collection 480 SL limited edition golf shoe is an incredible option. It’s an all-green microfiber leather upper with a white midsole and extra-thick CUSH+ insole.

It’s a spikeless option that can be great for on the course or off the course and comes in classic New Balance style.

Staying in the Champions Collection, New Balance has a women’s option, as well, with the Champions Collection 327 limited edition golf shoe. It is a spikeless shoe with a rubber outsole and a waterproof microfiber leather upper in all white.

The classic N on the shoe is in a green colorway that makes it simple, yet refined.

The Fresh Foam Contend v3 limited edition golf shoe is a more athletic look with an all-white upper and a yellow and green N. The tongue is also green with yellow accents and a hint of pink near the laces.

The sole of the shoe features a unique pattern mixing green, white and yellow with a pink New Balance logo.

Jordan

Jordan 1 Low G

If you’re a Jordan fan, you are in luck, as the Jordan 1 low G golf shoe is available in a forest green and white model.

You get the classic look of a Jordan 1 low golf shoe with the familiar green throughout the upper and the swoosh. This version is a spikeless low with encapsulated air in the heel cushion for added comfort.

You also get a set of white laces and green laces to customize your look.

PUMA

PUMA Golf

PUMA released its 30904 collection with apparel and shoes this season to commemorate the first major. The 30904 is, of course, the zip code for Augusta, Georgia, and is featured on the apparel.

The PUMA Suede G 30904 spikeless golf shoe is a limited colorway that features an embossed azalea on the heel.

It has a waterproof full-grain suede leather upper in a warm white with a luso green PUMA stripe on the side. Those are contrasted by an off-white or cream midsole and a green sole to tie things together.

Adidas

Adidas Adipower

Adidas doesn’t have a limited-edition option specifically for this time of year, but the brand does have some excellent options that stick with the green theme.

The all-new Adipower spiked golf shoe has an all-white waterproof upper in full-grain leather. The three stripes are featured in a collegiate green and accented with a similar green near the rear of the midsole.

In a more laid-back style, adidas also has the S2G in off white, collegiate green and wonder alumina yellow. The S2G is sneaker inspired and spikeless to give you an option for on and off the course.

The Gazelle spikeless shoe in green, almost yellow and collegiate green is also an excellent option that can be worn on and off the course. It’s a classic Gazelle style with a bright colorway that is reminiscent of the first major.

In similar fashion, the Samba in cloud white, collegiate green and gum would be an excellent option given the timing. It’s a classic Samba spikeless golf shoe with a white upper, gum midsole and green three stripes on the side as well as on the heel cup.

TravisMathew

TravisMathew Nuage

The NuAge Mega golf shoe from TravisMathew was transformed into an option for the season. This model has a white upper that is fully waterproof and multi-layered synthetics for durability.

The sock liner hits with a lighter shade of green with matching colors on the front of the shoe and a flower pattern on the heel cup. It’s a spiked shoe that also has the green and flower pattern on the sole to bring the shoe together.

The shoes go perfectly with TravisMathew's collection for the season opener, which features similar greens and bright flowers throughout.

Asics

Asics Kayano 3 Golf

Asics took its Gel-Kayano Ace 3 golf shoe and tweaked the colorway to match the setting with a white and jasper green.

The midsole features a dark green, a lighter green and a light aqua color that works well together. An all-white upper features a green heel cup and green accents on the Asics logo on the side of the shoe.

It’s a spikeless shoe that was derived from the Gel-Kayano 32 running shoe and brings golf-specific traction and stability.

No matter what type of shoe you’re looking for in April, there are plenty of options to get you geared up for the occasion.
