New additions to Odyssey Square 2 Square putter lineup

May 9, 2025

Odyssey launched two model extensions in its Square 2 Square putter lineup with Max 1 and Max Stripe.

Max 1

Square 2 Square putters have already been successful for Odyssey as zero torque options for golfers looking to limit face rotation. The Double Wide, the #7 and the Jailbird had all previously been available, but the Max Stripe and Max 1 are now the new additions.

Max 1 has an all-black crown with a thin white alignment line to aid in lining up your putts, while the Max Stripe has a thick white graphic across the entire width of the putter called Versa 90 alignment.

Both new additions will feature all the same benefits of the previous Square 2 Square putters, starting with the center shafted design. The shaft is on the center of gravity plane of the putter, which makes it rest toe up and promotes a square face throughout the stroke.

That design helps limit the rotation and gives it the zero torque name.

The Max 1 and Max Stripe also has the Ai-One insert, which is designed using artificial intelligence and promotes consistent ball speeds across the face. It also keeps that White Hot feel that many putters have become accustom to.

In addition to those features, you will also get built in forward press shaft lean that presets the hands in a forward press position and eliminates opening of the face that can often happen.

Odyssey says the Max 1 and Max Stripe are both high MOI options within the Square 2 Square lineup, giving golfers an option within the zero torque lineup that can help bring consistency beyond limiting rotation.
