Odyssey Tri-Hot Square 2 Square putters

Odyssey Tri-Hot Square 2 Square Putters

Odyssey has moved zero torque forward with its all-new Tri-Hot Square-2-Square putters, giving you a more traditional looking zero torque putter.

Odyssey has moved the center of gravity forward to position the hosel closer to the face than other zero torque putters. That gives this new line a look that most golfers are used to, without the need for forward shaft lean at address.

Tri-Hot Putter

The new line comes in four different models with the Rossie, #7, Jailbird and Jailbird Cruiser, giving every golfer a head shape and design that would fit their stroke.

Utilizing those models, Odyssey moved the center of gravity by adding 140 grams of tungsten near the face on the sole of the putter, which brought 80 percent of the weight under the topline. The company used a multi-material construction using aluminum and steel that ultimately combined to bring this new look in the Tri-Hot line.

The look of other zero torque putters, with the shaft placed farther away from the face had become a pain point for some golfers who didn’t like the look and feel of having the shaft placed in a different spot. Odyssey was able to keep the zero-torque functionality of its Square-2-Square line while also alleviating that issue.

The Odyssey Tri-Hot putters also have the Ai-DUAL insert that is designed using artificial intelligence with a dual-layer urethane insert. It features a soft outer layer and a firm inner layer with variable thickness that can be seen on the sole of the club, which helps with consistent ball speed across the face.

The new Forward Roll Design groove is deeper and more aggressive. It has a 19-degree slope that helps the ball roll forward up and down the face and reduces skipping off the face to give you a better and more consistent roll.

We’d be remiss to not talk about the design and look of the putters, as well. All models will come with a red and black design, as well as a white alignment aid to help line up your putts. They will also come with a mid-sized pistol grip to bring better awareness of where the putter face is throughout your stroke.

To match the red and black design, Odyssey added a black SL 120 PVD Shaft that is heavier and stiffer than their SL 90.

So, if you haven’t yet pulled the trigger on a zero-torque putter or if you just didn’t love the way the shaft looked on other zero-torque putters, Odyssey’s Tri-Hot line could be a great option to get you into the game and help you with unwanted rotation in your swing.
