For the launch of a new golf season, Carl’s Golfland and G/FORE released a limited-edition, custom golf shoe designed by employees of the retail store. The shoe, named Perennial 1.01, is a white G/FORE Gallivan2r with a green collar and green welt with pastel accents on the cleats.
Limited to just 150 pairs, Perennial draws inspiration from the azalea flower, perfectly manicured Bermuda grass and the dawn of new beginnings.
The azalea is a perennial that showcases its familiar colors every year, blooming in the spring, and evokes emotions that the golf season is upon us. Its bright colors and recognizable contrast against the landscape of greens and whites on a golf course make the azalea difficult to ignore.
Similarly, the pastel accents on the sole of the Perennial 1.01 provide a beautiful juxtaposition against the green and white of the shoe. As you complete your golf swing or take steps to walk away from your shot, the G/FORE rubber cleats will be on full display showing off the unique aspects of this shoe.
The attention to detail on Perennial 1.01 is second-to-none, down to the green secondary laces included with the shoe.
Perhaps one of the more noticeable design details of the shoe, though, despite also being the most subtle, is the outline of an azalea flower on the heel of the upper. Against the white, waterproof T.P.U. material of the shoe, an azalea is embossed into each shoe with impeccable depth and definition.
Without taking away from the beauty of the shoe, or trying to shine on its own, the azalea melds together to complete the overall story and draws the shoe together.
The shoe will be available for early release on March 20, for anyone following Carl’s Golfland on Instagram and Facebook, as well as anyone who signs up for the email notification on our landing page.
The official launch for the general public will be on March 24, at 10am ET, and will be available in-store and online while supplies last.
