Titleist's Pro V1x Left Dash Golf Ball

To complement its lineup of Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls, Titleist is enhancing Pro V1x Left Dash to bring a modern mix of high ball speed and low spin.

“What we’re really trying to accomplish is give the Left Dash golfer more of what they like and want, which is speed and distance,” Titleist Director of Product Management, Frederick Waddell, said. “And we did that by reformulating the dual core, altering the casing layer and the cover, and giving it a new dimple pattern. The result is longer distances, faster speeds, but keeping spin the same.”

Titleist has already seen incredible Tour adoption in the Pro V1 Left Dash golf ball, played over 38 times on Worldwide Tours since launching in September.

It fits a specific type of player looking to reduce spin on full swing shots and higher trajectory, Pro V1x left dash is a good option.

“If you hit a lot of low shots, but with a lot of spin, Pro V1x left dash puts that ball up in the air because it flies higher than Pro V1, but with even less spin,” Waddell said. “Which is why players around the world, certainly on Tour, but in the marketplace who gravitated towards it. Because if Pro V1 is really kind of optimal for most golfers in terms of spin and flight, Pro V1x has higher flight, higher spin. Left dash is kind of a nice combo of the two with high flight, low spin and it’s a great fitting tool if you’re somebody who needs that combination.”

Pro V1 left dash is designed to fly higher than Pro V1, but lower than Pro V1x. It will still have a firmer feel, similar to the Pro V1x, but provides Titleist with yet another outstanding option within its Pro V1 lineup of golf balls.
