TaylorMade Spider Tour and ZT MAX Putters

TaylorMade continues to evolve and adapt its incredibly popular Spider line of putters with a new finish, distinct shapes and a new zero torque option for 2026.

The Spider Tour family has been a staple for TaylorMade for decades, bringing high-MOI putting performance, stability and forgiveness for golfers at every level. The brand is now introducing the latest iteration with a new torched finish and four head shapes.

The torched PVD finish pops upon first review, bringing a new look to the line of Tour putters. It’s a stunning contrast to the black and blue finishes and the white TPU pure roll insert, which helps create a softer feel.

The insert will, of course, have grooves angled at 45 degrees to bring forward roll and better sound and feel.

TaylorMade also equips the Spider Tour putters with HYBAR echo dampening, which is positioned behind the face to dampen unwanted vibrations and help improve sound. Each of the four models of Spider Tour putters will feature different center of gravity locations for optimal putter fitting, as each model is for a different type of golfer.

The Tour V is the most forward center of gravity mallet in the family as the result of an L-Neck hosel and 33-degrees of toe hang. It has a smaller profile and is built for a golfer who wants the feel of a blade with the forgiveness of a mallet.

A golfer with a natural arcing stroke would fit into the Spider Tour V, as well.

The Spider Tour F will come with two hosel options that will accommodate two different stroke types. The L-Neck has 33-degrees of toe hang and will fit golfers with an arc to their swing, while the Double Bend hosel will have a face-balanced effect for a more straight-back-straight-through swing.

The Tour F has a square topline and a single line alignment aid for enhanced definition.

The Spider Tour X will feature three different hosel options and two alignment options, as well.

The Tour X can come with an L-Neck hosel and TruePath alignment aid with 21-degrees of toe hang, or a Small Slant neck with either a single line or TruePath alignment aid, both with 30-degrees of toe hang, or a Double Bend neck and a TruePath alignment aid that will be a face-balanced putter.

The Tour X L-Neck will be for players with a moderate arcing stroke, while the Small Slant is for golfers with an arcing stroke, and the Double Bend eliminates toe hang and is built for golfers with a straight-back-straight-through stroke.

The Spider Tour X was used by Rory McIlroy in both his Masters wins and has been used by Scottie Scheffler in 16 wins, three majors and a gold medal.

The Spider Tour model can be equipped with three different hosels, TruePath and single line alignment aids. The L-Neck option comes with a single line and 21-degrees of toe hang, while the Small Slant comes with TruePath and 30-degrees of toe hang and the Double Bend with TruePath will be face-balanced.

In addition to the Tour models, TaylorMade is also introducing its latest in the zero torque or low torque category with the Spider ZT-MAX. The brand had a ton of success with its Spider ZT model and is now bringing in maximum MOI to the lineup.

To bring in the zero torque aspect, TaylorMade utilized a shaft that is bored directly toe-ward near the center of gravity with a two-degree shaft lean and 34 mm of onset behind the face.

To increase MOI, or forgiveness, in the putter, TaylorMade used four heavy steel and tungsten corner weight to help frame the aerospace-grade aluminum body. The Spider ZT MAX also has a new sole shape that helps improve accuracy. The curvature of the sole helps golfers find a more consistent and repeatable stroke to ultimately make more putts.

In addition to those new features, TaylorMade also took in Tour feedback to develop a new premium alignment aid. The engineers added milled lines that are the width of the golf ball to help golfers properly find the center of the face at address and impact.

The Spider ZT MAX will also have the black Pure Roll insert, made from surlyn and aluminum to create a soft feel.

The new iterations of the Spider family continue to help TaylorMade evolve and adapt to a changing putter market that is accommodating all types of golfers.
