The Cobra King F9 Speedback Irons feature Speedback Technology that combines innovative shaping elements and tungsten weighting to achieve the ultimate combination of low CG and high MOI for maxmium power and stability.
Additional mass is added low and back in the F9 irons. The low/back weight placement delivers a lower and deeper CG that increases ball speed and launch to maximize distance. The mass isn't visible at address to allow for a sleeker appearance.
Cobra achieved higher MOI by combining 33 grams of tungsten in the heel and toe, thus increasing stability and inertia at impact.
Cobra's forged E9 PwrShell variable thickness face expands the sweet spot on the face for increased forgiveness. The PwrShell design features a deep undercut sole with an internal channel that absorbs and returns more energy to the ball for a higher launch and faster ball speeds.
The Co-Molded Medallion in the F9's cavity (4-7 iron) is made from a combination of aluminum, TPU and acrylic foam. The combination of lightweight, vibration damping materials promotes a softer, more responive feel, something not normally found in game improvement irons.
The King F9's CNC milled faces (a process typically only used in players irons) are perfectly flat with precise grooves and precise lofts for maximum spin and trajectory control. The 4-7 irons have V-grooves which reduce spin for increased distance and flight. U-grooves in the 8-PW optimize spin for improved control and accuracy. Tighter-spaced grooves in the GW and SW increase spin for more greenside precision.
The F9's stock shaft options are the KBS Tour 90 steel shaft and the Fujikura Atmost graphite shaft. Lamkin's Crossline Connect (black) is the stock grip. Connect Grips feature electronics inside that grip that work in conjunction with the Arccos Caddie app to allow users to track their stats and improve their game.
