Evnroll Origin ER5 Putter
Evnroll putters are renowned for their SweetFace technology. Consisting of progressively spaced grooves that are wider in the center and gradually narrow towards the heel and toe, this groundbreaking technology dramatically improves putting performance. Specifically, the groove design produces consistent speeds across the face, so putts struck outside of the sweet spot don't wind up woefully short. Additionally, SweetFace helps redirect mishits toward the target. Proven time and again in independent testing, the technology is so effective that other manufacturers have inevitably attempted to imitate it.
While SweetFace remains the benchmark by which all assistive groove technologies are measured, Guerin Rife, Evnroll's pioneer and groove architect, sought improvement, leading to the development of SweetFace 2.0. Debuting in the Origin family of putters, Rife's thorough revision of the original design features a reshaped parabolic groove pattern and a reduction in the grooves' depth of approximately 50 percent. The shallower depth reduces the amount of time the ball stays in contact with the face, creating a more immediate and rapid forward roll after impact, which results in even more consistent speed across the face. By shifting from a straight to a wave-shaped groove pattern, Rife eliminated the "dimple effect", an issue plaguing putters across the industry where the irregularities in the ball's dimple patterns cause putts to veer offline. As an added benefit, SweetFace 2.0 produces a softer yet simultaneously more satisfying feel than its predecessor.
