The OZ.1i HS is the first heel-shafted putter with Lie Angle Balance, combining the traditional appearance many golfers prefer with the performance benefits and ease of use L.A.B. is renowned for. More than just a different neck, creating a heel-shafted, Lie Angle Balanced OZ.1i required re-engineering its chassis, including the development of a proprietary aluminum riser. The riser connects the shaft to the head, maintaining the putter's zero torque design and exceptional forgiveness.
Research shows that 83% of a putt's starting direction is influenced by the direction of the putter's face at impact (the path of the putter head controls the other 17%). Lie Angle Balance (L.A.B.) Technology accounts for lie, angle, and weighting to create a putter that stays square to the arc throughout the stroke, delivering a square putter face at impact. Essentially, L.A.B. has created a perfectly balanced putter, eliminated torque, and, with no further adjustments, allowed golfers to make a consistent, repeatable putting stroke using far less effort.
Crafted with input from Adam Scott, the half-moon-shaped OZ.1i is the first Lie Angle Balanced putter with a tour-inspired design. Unlike L.A.B.'s other mallets, this putter features a solid-body construction and is fine-tuned to sound and feel more "normal." Most importantly, the OZ.1i produces the same levels of forgiveness and stability L.A.B.'s mallets are renowned for, offering performance on par with the exceptionally popular DF3 and MEZZ.1 MAX.
