The Milled Grind 5 boasts all-new saw-milled grooves. Tighter in tolerance, this design allowed TaylorMade's engineers to make the grooves more aggressive than the previous model's. Their steeper walls and sharper edges generate maximum spin in dry and damp conditions, granting next-level control and the ability to execute even the most challenging shots.
Equally impressive, the MG5 maintains its prodigious spin rates in all playing conditions thanks to Spin Tread technology. Spin Tread, which consists of laser-etched channels on the unfinished, or "raw" face, acts like tire treads, channeling away water and debris at impact while creating more friction between the ball and the face. By eliminating foreign substances, the wedge imparts optimal spin despite suboptimal conditions.
