TaylorMade made a concerted effort to ensure the latest P•770 is a true player's offering, rather than a smaller 790. While the iron is hollow, thus offering a distance boost, the new forged, precision-milled face and grooves deliver significantly more consistency and control than the previous model.

Each P•770 iron is individually and meticulously optimized to provide the optimal and most beneficial performance characteristics. In the long irons, updated tungsten weighting lowers the center of gravity, increasing stability and forgiveness while producing a high, green-holding launch angle.
