A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
The “CARL’S GOLFLAND 2025 DEMO DAYS SWEEPSTAKES” (“Sweepstakes”) starts at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on 2/17/2025 and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on 3/30/2025 (“Online Entry Period”) as detailed below. The sponsor of this Sweepstakes is Carl’s Golfland Inc., 1976 S. Telegraph Road, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48302 (the “Sponsor”). The Sweepstakes shall be subject to these Official Rules, and by entering, all participants agree to be bound by the terms and conditions herein. Certain restrictions may apply.
ELIGIBILITY: THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE FIFTY (50) UNITED STATES, THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA AND CANADA (EXCEPT THE PROVINCE OF QUEBEC), EIGHTEEN (18) YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AS OF ENTRY DATE. Employees and their immediate family members (specifically defined as a parent, sibling, child or grandparent) of Sponsor, West Coast Marketing a division of The Susquehanna Hat Company (“West Coast Marketing”), prize suppliers, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parent companies, divisions, advertising, promotion and public relations agencies, and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, independent contractors, representatives and agencies, (collectively, the “Sweepstakes Entities”) and those living in the household of same (whether related or not) are not eligible to enter or win. This Sweepstakes is void in Puerto Rico, all U.S. territories and possessions, the Province of Quebec and all overseas military installations and where prohibited or restricted by law. A prize won by an individual at least eighteen (18) years of age but considered to be a minor (“Minor”) in his or her jurisdiction of residence will be awarded in name of such Minor’s parent or legal guardian.
HOW TO ENTER: During the Online Entry Period, you may enter online by logging on to the website at www.carlsgolfland.com or where available, by scanning one of the Sweepstakes QR codes found inside our participating store locations (each an “Entry Site” and collectively, “Entry Sites”) and following the directions for Sweepstakes entry; providing your name, zip/postal code, daytime telephone number, email address and clicking the Submit button. By completing the foregoing to a successful conclusion, you will receive one (1) entry in the Sweepstakes (“Entry”). ALL ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY 11:59 P.M. ET ON 3/30/2025. Each such individual submitting such Entry may be referred to hereafter as an “Entrant”.
ONLY ONE (1) ENTRY PER PERSON AND/OR EMAIL ADDRESS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR THIS SWEEPSTAKES.
The Sweepstakes Entities and any and all Internet server(s) and access provider(s), and each of their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parent corporations, retailers and advertising and promotional agencies, and all of their officers, directors, shareholders, employees and agents (collectively, “Releasees”) are not responsible for: any incorrect or inaccurate Entry information; human errors; technical malfunctions; failures, omissions, interruptions, deletions or defects of any telephone network, computer online systems, computer equipment, servers, providers, or software, including without limitation any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in the Sweepstakes; inability to access the Entry Sites or any other web page; theft, tampering, destruction, or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, Entries; data that is processed late or incorrectly or is incomplete or lost due to telephone, computer or electronic malfunction or traffic congestion on telephone lines or the Internet or any web site (including the Entry Sites) or for any other reason whatsoever; Entries or mail that is late, lost, stolen, misdirected, mutilated, or postage due; typographical, printing or other errors; or any combination thereof. For purposes of this Sweepstakes, an Entry is "received" online when the Sponsor's server records the Entry information. Proof of sending (such as an automated computer receipt confirming Entry or "thanks for entering" message) does not constitute proof of actual receipt of an Entry for purposes of this Sweepstakes. Proof of entering information at the Entry Sites online is not considered proof of delivery or receipt. Illegible, incomplete, mechanically reproduced and duplicate Entries will be disqualified. All Entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. False, fraudulent or deceptive Entries or acts shall render Entrants ineligible. By entering the Sweepstakes, Entrants affirm that they have read and accepted these Official Rules. The Sweepstakes shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, United States. By entering the Sweepstakes, Entrants hereby submit to the jurisdiction and venue of the federal and state courts of the State of Michigan, United States and waive the right to have disputes arising out of the subject matter hereof adjudicated in any other forum. The information obtained via the Entry will be used by Sponsor and its affiliates for marketing purposes. Sponsor and its affiliates would like to use this information to contact you either by mail or email with updates about special promotions or offers. If you prefer not to receive updates, do not check the appropriate box online. Any Entry information collected from the Sweepstakes shall be used only in a manner consistent with the consent given by Entrants at the time of the Entry, with these Official Rules and with the Sponsor’s Online Privacy Policy, which can be accessed at the Entry Sites.
WINNER SELECTION: Winners will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible Entries on or about 4/7/25 by West Coast Marketing, an independent judging organization, whose decisions are and shall be final and binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Potential prize winners will be notified by email and/or telephone and will be required to respond to notification within two (2) business days confirming name, address, telephone number, email and date of birth. In addition, potential prize winners whose prize is valued at $600 USD or more will also be required to execute and return either a notarized Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability, an IRS W-9 form and where legal, a Publicity Release form (U.S. prize winner) or a Declaration of Eligibility/Release of Liability/Publicity Release (Canadian prize winner) within seven (7) days of date of issuance. Canadian winners will also be required to correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, a timed mathematical skill-testing question administered by telephone or email. If applicable, prize winner’s travel companion (or prize winner if travel companion is the minor child or ward of a prize winner) will also be required to complete and return an executed Release of Liability form within this same 7-day time period.
Failure to respond to initial notification or to return all required forms within the stated time period, or to comply with any other provision herein, may result in the applicable winner being disqualified and an alternate winner may (at Sponsor’s sole discretion), be selected. If a prize notification or prize is returned as undeliverable for any reason, the prize may (at Sponsor’s sole discretion) be awarded to an alternate winner in a subsequent random drawing. Unclaimed prizes will remain the property of the Sponsor and/or prize supplier and will not be awarded
All Federal, state, provincial and local tax liabilities are the responsibility of the winners.

** Prize trip to St. John’s Resort consists of a trip for prize winner and one (1) travel companion which includes: (i) roundtrip coach-class airfare for two (2) from a major commercial airport near winner’s home (as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) to a Detroit area airport selected at the sole discretion of the Sponsor; (ii) two (2) consecutive nights’ accommodation (single standard room, double occupancy, room and tax only) at The St. John’s Resort Inn; (iii) Breakfast daily; (iv) a $200.00 food and beverage credit at the St. John’s Resort; (v) a $200 travel stipend for incidentals; (vi) two (2), 18-hole rounds of golf per person with one (1) round per person to take place on The Cardinal and the par 3 Little Cardinal; and (vii) the opportunity to visit the Carl’s Golfland Bloomfield Hills location where the winner will be fit for a complete set of custom golf clubs. Note: prize does not include caddie gratuities which are the responsibility of the prize winner and his or her travel companion. If the winner lives less than 150 miles from the St. John’s Resort, then they will receive mileage in lieu of airfare. The ARV of this prize is $6,000.00 USD; (approximately $8,625.60 CAD).
All aspects of the travel prize, including, but not limited to, specific airline(s), flights, hotel and all elements of travel prize fulfillment is subject to availability and are at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. The travel prize winner and his or her travel companion will be required to travel on identical itineraries including the same departure city, departure date, destination and return date. Background checks of travel prize winner and his/her travel companion may be performed at the sole discretion of Sponsor. Travel prize winner and travel companion will each be required to provide valid government-issued photo ID (Real ID may be required) at time of travel as required by airline, airport, hotel and TSA/government authorities and follow all TSA, airline, hotel, and governmental Covid protocol regulations and requirements. A valid credit card or cash deposit by the travel prize winner may be required by the hotel at time of check-in for incidentals. If the travel prize winner elects to travel or partake in the travel prize with no travel companion, no additional compensation will be awarded. All aspects of the travel prize must be taken together and cannot be taken separately. No changes will be made to travel details once any element(s) of the travel arrangements have been booked except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. All airline tickets issued in conjunction with the travel prize are not eligible for frequent flyer miles or any other promotional benefit. Sponsor or its designee will not replace any lost or stolen tickets, travel vouchers or certificates or similar items once they are in the travel prize winner’s possession, or in the possession of the travel prize winner’s travel companion. Prize travel is subject to capacity controls, availability, holiday and other blackout dates and certain other restrictions and conditions, which may include a Saturday night stay, all of which are subject to change. No prize element will be substituted except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for changes in any element of the prize travel schedule. No stopovers are permitted on tickets issued as part of the prize; if a stopover occurs, the prize will terminate and full fare will be charged from the stopover point for the remaining trip segment(s), including the return. Once hotel, flight and any other travel prize fulfillment arrangements have been confirmed, no changes will be allowed except by Sponsor at its sole discretion.
Any costs associated with travel prize acceptance and/or use that are not expressly stated above are not included in the prize and are the sole responsibility of the travel prize winner and his/her travel companion. Such costs may include, without limitation, any ground transportation, any state or local taxes or government surcharges or fees, travel insurance and premiums, excursions, meals, drinks, souvenirs, incidentals, gratuities, telephone calls, charges for changing dates or other personal costs, and expenses not specified herein.
In the event the travel prize winner or his/her travel companion engage(s) in behavior during the prize travel (or part thereof) that (as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) is obnoxious or threatening, illegal, or that is intended to threaten or harass any other person, or that in any way disparages or adversely affects the reputation, image, and/or customer goodwill of Sponsor or any of its services, products, trademarks, service marks, or logos, Sponsor reserves the right to terminate the prize travel early, and remove such prize winner and/or his/her travel companion from prize event(s) with no further obligations or compensation whatsoever to such prize winner (which may, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, result in such prize winner’s disqualification from the Sweepstakes and forfeiture of any (and/or all) prize. In the event travel prize winner or his/her travel companion engage(s) in behavior during the prize travel that (as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) is illegal, tortious, or subjects prize winner to arrest or detention, Sponsor shall have no obligation to pay any damages, fees, fines, judgments or other costs or expenses of any kind whatsoever incurred by such prize winner or his/her travel companion as a result of such conduct.
The total ARV of all prizes to be awarded in this Sweepstakes is $25,099.82. USD (approximately $36,166.67 CAD). All prizes will be awarded in the form of prize credit from the Sponsor with the exception of a travel prize.
Only one (1) prize per person will be awarded. No substitution by a winner of their prize shall be allowed except as determined in the sole discretion of Sponsor. If necessary due to unavailability, a prize of equal or greater value will be substituted at the sole discretion of Sponsor. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. Except where prohibited, all Federal, state, provincial, local or other tax liabilities, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winners. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use the winner’s name, address (city and state/province or city only), voice, photograph, likeness, biographical information and statements for advertising, promotional or publicity purposes without additional compensation or limitation. Odds of winning any prize are determined by the total number of eligible Entries received and are equal regardless of method of Entry.
Warranty Disclaimer: All prizes are awarded “AS IS”. Any and all warranties for the prizes are contained in the manufacturer’s or service provider’s warranty. Except as otherwise provided in these Official Rules, Releasees make no warranties, representations or guarantees, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, respecting the performance or use of the prizes, including, without limitation, quality, merchantability, and fitness for a particular purpose, and the winner shall look solely to the manufacturer or service provider for such warranties, if any. Furthermore, no responsibilities are accepted for any additional expenses, omissions, delays, re-routing, or acts of any government or authority. Specifics of any and all prizes awarded in this Sweepstakes are at the sole discretion of the Sponsor and/or prize suppliers.
LIMITATIONS ON LIABILITY/RELEASE:
By entering this Sweepstakes, Entrants agree that the Releasees shall not be liable for personal injuries, death, damages, expenses or costs or losses of any kind resulting from participation or inability to participate in this Sweepstakes or acceptance of or use or inability to use a prize or parts thereof including, without limitation, claims, suits, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light (whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or other theory. Winners release the Releasees from any and all liability and responsibility with respect to the prizes (including any property loss, damage, personal injury or death). Winners acknowledge that the aforementioned individuals and entities have neither made nor are in any manner responsible for any warranty, representation or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, related to the prizes.
Releasees shall not be liable to a winner or to any other person for failure to supply a prize or any part thereof, by reason of any acts of God, any action(s), regulation(s), order(s) or request(s) by any governmental or quasi-governmental entity (whether or not the action(s), regulation(s), order(s) or request(s) prove(s) to be invalid), equipment failure, terrorist acts, earthquake, war, fire, flood, explosion, unusually severe weather, hurricane, embargo, pandemic, labor dispute or strike (whether legal or illegal), labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, work slow-down, civil disturbance, insurrection, riot, network or computer problems, internet problems, hacking, computer viruses, unauthorized computer access, tampering, or any other cause beyond Sponsor’s sole control. Releasees shall not be responsible for any cancellations, delays, diversions or substitutions or any act or omissions whatsoever by the air carrier(s), hotel(s), or other transportation companies or any other persons providing any of these services and accommodations to passengers including any results thereof such as changes in services or accommodations necessitated by same. Releasees’ legal responsibility for loss or damage to baggage shall be strictly governed by the Warsaw Convention and the other applicable conditions of carriage set forth on the passengers’ tickets.
GENERAL: If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, or if this Sweepstakes becomes corrupted or does not allow the proper playing of the Sweepstakes and processing of Entries in accordance with these Official Rules, or if infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, actions by Entrants, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes, in the Sponsor’s sole opinion, corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual implicated in such action and/or to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this Sweepstakes or any portion thereof. In the event this Sweepstakes is canceled, the Sponsor may (at Sponsor’s sole discretion) conduct a random drawing to award the prizes from among all eligible, non-suspect Entries received prior to the time of the action or event warranting such cancellation. If such cancellation, termination, modification, or suspension occurs, notification will be posted on the Entry Sites. The Releasees are not responsible for the actions of Entrants in connection with the Sweepstakes, including Entrants’ attempts to circumvent the Official Rules or otherwise interfere with the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes. Persons found tampering with or abusing any aspect of this Sweepstakes, or who Sponsor believes to be causing malfunction, error, disruption or damage may be disqualified. Additionally, any attempt to cheat the Sweepstakes, as determined at the sole and absolute discretion of Sponsor, may result in immediate disqualification of the Entrant, as well as other possible consequences, including disqualification from any and all existing and future sweepstakes, contest or promotion. ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND/OR CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
In the event a dispute regarding the identity of the individual who actually submitted an Entry cannot be resolved to Sponsor’s satisfaction, the affected Entry will be deemed ineligible. The Releasees are not responsible for electronic communications that are undeliverable as a result of any form of active or passive filtering of any kind, or insufficient space in Entrant's email account or voicemail system to receive email messages or voice mails (as applicable). Also, the Releasees are not responsible, and may disqualify an Entrant, if his or her email address or telephone number does not work, if email is directed to a spam or junk folder or if the email address or telephone number is changed without Entrant giving prior written notice to Sponsor.
NOTE: Entry must be made by the Entrant only as detailed above. Entries made by any other individual or business including, but not limited to, commercial sweepstakes subscription notification and/or entering service sites, will be declared invalid and disqualified for this Sweepstakes. Entries generated by automated means are void and may be disqualified. The use of any device to automate the Entry process is prohibited. Entries or other Sweepstakes materials that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted, damaged, destroyed, forged, false, lost, late, misdirected, postage due, deceptive, in greater quantity than the limit stated above or otherwise not in compliance with the Official Rules may be disqualified from the Sweepstakes at Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion.
HOW WILL DISPUTES BE HANDLED?: Each Entrant agrees that (1) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with this Sweepstakes, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and any judicial proceeding shall take place in a federal or state court within the State of Michigan; (2) any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (3) under no circumstances will Entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and Entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, and consequential damages, and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of Entrant and Sponsor in connection with this Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions (whether of the State of Michigan or any other jurisdiction), that would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Michigan.
WINNERS LIST/OFFICIAL RULES: For an Official Winners List (available after 5/15/25), or a copy of these Official Rules, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to “CARL’S GOLFLAND 2025 DEMO DAYS SWEEPSTAKES”, – WINNERS LIST - OR - RULES (PLEASE SPECIFY WHICH), 22287 Mulholland Hwy., #396, Calabasas, CA 91302. Residents of Canada and Vermont only may omit the return postage on their requests. Official Rules are available at the Entry Sites during the Online Entry Period.
