Cashier - Carl's Golfland Bloomfield Hills & Plymouth @ St. John's

Cashier is the primary entry point to Carl's Golfland where throughout our 61 years of continuous growth, we have always looked to grow expertise and promote stellar performers from within our team. We are looking to add your excellent customer service skills to our world class golf retail shops. Golfland Cashiers are essential contributors to providing our legendary customer service experience. our professional Cashier team also works to establish and maintain a clean and well-stocked sales floor. To succeed as a Cashier, you must be energetic and accurate. You should be responsible, attentive to customer needs and committed to providing excellent service. A love of, or at least a knowledge of, golf is highly desirable.

Cashier Responsibilities:

  • Welcome customers, answering their questions, and helping them locate items while providing advice and/or recommendations
  • Operating scanners, cash registers and other electronics
  • Balancing the cash registers and generating reports for credit and debit sales
  • Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and providing a receipt to every customer
  • Processing refunds and exchanges, resolving complaints
  • Bagging or wrapping purchases to ensure safe transport
  • Following all store procedures regarding coupons, special orders, and gift cards
  • Maintaining a clean and well-stocked workspace

Cashier Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Customer service or Cashier experience
  • Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly
  • High level of energy with strong customer service skill
  • Basic math and computers skills
  • Ability to stand and walk through eight hour shifts and occasionally lift heavy items
  • Cashiers must work well with other team members in a fast-paced environment to consistently provide excellent customer service
  • Helpful, positive and courteous approach to resolving issues and complaints

Digital Content Creator - Carl's Golfland Bloomfield Hills - Full Time

This role will be responsible for the capture, editing, and bring to life rich, unique digital content in the form of video and pictures for use on our Social Media Channels, Blogs, Vlogs, and more. The goal of this role is to enrich the customer experience, generate demand & increase customer/viewer engagement/following across multiple online mediums, including on-site, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube & Twitter. This individual must maintain the highest standard of quality and work within Carl’s Golfland’s strict brand guidelines/tone. This role is oftentimes fast-paced and very much deadline driven. To fully encompass this role, a multi-faceted individual familiar with videography, design, and the golf digital landscape is preferred.

  • 5+ years of Digital Content Creation preferred
  • Knowledge of the current Social Media Golf landscape preferred
  • Expansive knowledge of golf and golf product
  • Experience working in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Lightroom, Premiere, Davinci, After Effects or like products preferred
  • Ability to remain organized, pay strict attention to detail and meet critical deadlines within a high volume, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work successfully with cross-functional teams
  • Effective written and spoken communication skills
  • Some travel may be required
