Cleveland's ZipCore technology, typically reserved for its wedges, is responsible for the short irons' consistent performance and accuracy. By locating the center of gravity directly behind the ball striking area, ZipCore generates an abundance of horizontal and vertical stability, resulting in exceptional MOI, feel, and control.

When engineering the long irons' MainFrame technology, Cleveland utilized artificial intelligence to simulate thousands of strikes across the face. The subsequent results were evaluated, face geometries were adjusted, and thousands more simulations were run. This exacting process led to the creation of a series of channels and cavities carefully milled into the backside of the ZipCore XL Iron faces that maximize flex at impact, resulting in extreme COR, the measurement for a club's ball speed potential. As an added benefit, MainFrame's lower center of gravity significantly boosts forgiveness and produces a high launch with steeper, green-grabbing descent angles.

The final piece of technology powering the ZipCore XL isn't found in the club head. Cleveland inserts an 8g weight at the end of the shaft, creating a counterbalanced effect, the benefits of which are dynamic. As you take the club away from address, Action Mass CB weight makes it feel lighter and more controlled. Added control leads to added stability and a more repeatable golf swing. At the beginning of the downswing, Action Mass brings your hands straight down and your arms close to your body, creating a better plane and a squarer club face while avoiding the casting motion commonly referred to as an "over the top" swing.
