Due to the back flange cut out, the HT Offset Mallet has maximum heel and toe weighting, and is a great option for those who typically enjoy large, forgiving mallets.  The putter is face balanced at impact, or "balanced to plane", meaning it's balanced throughout the stroke and naturally returns to square at impact.  As a result, less manipulation is required during the stroke to keep the putter face on the correct path, and it is very easy to properly release the putter head.
