The C722's creation begins with a hollow body, perimeter weighted design with perfect weight distribution, resulting in maximum forgiveness.  Additionally, the hollow construction allows for increased face flex, the ability to have a thinner, faster face, and a deeper center of gravity.

Next, Tour Edge utilizes a procedure called Combo-Brazing to complete the club head.  Combo-Brazing is a distance-boosting process in which the face is fused to the heavier steel body of the club without having to weld the two materials together.  As a result, a large amount of weight is removed from the sole and the back of the clubhead, allowing the club head to be more compact, have an optimal CG placement, and produce a greater transfer of energy from the club to the ball.

The final piece of technology driving the C722 is its Beta Titanium L-Cup Face.  Cup Face refers to the fact that face actually wraps around the leading edge of the club, acting like a hinge to provide maximum power and ball speed from more contact points on the face, thus shots struck well and poorly travel serious distance.  It is also worth noting that the 722's rare Titanium design is simultaneously softer and hotter than other utility irons on the market, an extremely rare trait.
